Job Details

The Recruiting Compliance Specialist will process new hire paperwork while following policies and the standard operating procedure of TCI Transportation in a manner consistent with internal and external regulations.

Responsibilities:

Compliance

Review applications to see if the applicant is qualified based on FMCSA and TCI insurance requirements

Run background checks and review the reports to ensure the applicant qualifies

Responsible for obtaining required documents from applicants and scanning and uploading the items to TCI's recruiting platform.

Works with Managers to assure that compliance is met during the hiring process

Provides regular compliance reports for department review

Assists in periodic DOT compliance reviews with a focus on system process improvements and efficiencies

Run Motor Vehicle Records, PSP reports and CDLIS reports

Orders Verification's of Employment on new hires and review them to ensure new hires meet insurance requirements

Schedule Road Tests for applicants

Send applicants to an approved clinic for pre-employment drug screens and medical re-certifications

Posts employment opportunity ads and communicate with managers to assure the content is accurate

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

High School Degree or Equivalent

1-3 years of experience in the Transportation Industry preferred

Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective communications and correspondence with internal and external management

Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure

Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy

Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
