Toward Maximum Independence (TMI) is a nonprofit organization that has been transforming the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities since 1981 and the deaf and hard of hearing since 2000. TMI is committed to the full inclusion of people with developmental disabilities into all facets of community life.
Qualified candidate must demonstrate knowledge, skills and experience commensurate with the duties of the position. Experience in vocational or human resources field preferred. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Supports the vision, mission and values of TMI.
Vocational support for three adult individuals with a developmental disability in various volunteer and or paid work sites. Schedule varies - Monday - Friday typically within the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 pm and is a shift of 6 hours per day or 30+ hours per week.
Must have reliable vehicle to transport up to three individuals daily. Conditional hire requires proof of Vehicle insurance, clear driving record with three years of driving experience, annual vehicle inspection, TB test, criminal background screen and drug testing required Willing to attend paid training.Must complete all hiring requirements including paid training, CPR and First Aid certification. Paid mileage.
The ideal candidate likes a variety of work locations, handles change well and has a flexible schedule M-F and can interface with all types of personalities and capabilities. Candidate must be reliable, professional, have good communication skills, have good decision making abilities and must be very good with people. Attention to detail, good paperwork skills and monitor people a must.
Benefits are possible if work hours are consistently at 30 hours per week.
Compenstation: $12.00 per hour plus mileage reimubrsement
