Description: Special event security guards may be stationed at various posts throughout the event venue. Some guards are positioned at a post and check attendees tickets or credentials. They may also search bags or other belongings that are brought into the venue for contraband. Other special event security guards patrol the grounds of the venue. They observe attendees and may detain anyone (as outlined in BSIS Regulations) who is in violation of the law or venue rules. Special event security guards must also perform crowd control and may be required to supervise parking or direct traffic after the event is over.
Primary duties are to observe and report any violations of the law or health/safety issues to proper authorities.
Primary positions available are barricade and stage posts as well as other various posts throughout the venue. Candidate must have an active California Guard Card.
Candidate must also have the ability to work with talent and celebrities in a professional manner as they will be exposed to a variety of public figures.
Candidates must have the ability to work longer than standard hours. The shift hours vary from 10 hours to 16 hours. California overtime rules will be applicable for overtime and double-time. Candidate must also be able to withstand an environment which will be loud due to the sound of music and crowds.
Starting pay of $12.00 for unlicensed event staff
Starting pay of $13.00 for Guard Carded staff
