Job Description
Manufacturing Engineering I Irvine, CA Direct Hire DOE Our client is in a state of growth and has an immediate opening for Manufacturing Engineering I to ensure maximum cost effectiveness and reliability of manufacturing processes and workflow. Successful candidate will determine the methods and sequence of manufacturing operations for products and machine parts and assemblies; ensures that products and processes meet customer quality requirements. Provides producibility input and manufacturing plans for product design and modification. Required Skills:- BA Degree (BS) in Manufacturing Engineering or related engineering field.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through two or more years of related experience.
- Ability to effectively apply continuous improvement methods to quality and manufacturing functions (e.g., pull systems, process mapping, JIT)
- Ability to use standard business applications software and/or specialized data analysis tools.
- Ability to work effectively with CAD/CAM systems or other computer aided manufacturing systems
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings, technical policies, and policies and recommend changes to procedures.
- Knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles and concepts and general business operations.
- Society of Manufacturing Engineering (SME) or Mechanical Engineering (ASME) certification desired.
