10519 – STORAGE ENGINEER III

PURPOSEDefine, design, and implement storage, backup, recovery, and data management solutions that ensure high performance of the organization's enterprise data (on-premise or cloud). Responsible for operational maintenance, availability, and capacity of critical Storage Area Networking (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), and other storage related environments. Closely monitor server storage performance and utilization, identify problems, and implement solutions. Lead the creation of standards, best practices, and new processes for operational integration of new technology solutions. Ensure storage, backup, and recovery environments are compliant with defined standards and operational procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Provide operational support and guidance to internal clients.
  • Responsible for performing a wide variety of daily storage management tasks as well as providing recommendations for effective and efficient management of storage system.
  • Be part of a team working specifically on the clients Storage/SAN/NAS and Backup Systems.
  • Provide proactive recommendations to the customers for improving storage & Backup operations.
  • Responsible for performing daily operational tasks like storage provisioning and maintaining availability.
  • Provision storage based on standardized procedures as outlined in internal documents.
  • Perform backup and recovery procedures

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in Storage Engineering
  • Knowledge of Windows & SUN UNIX systems, & usage of connectivity with HBA devices
  • Excellent Analytical Skills
  • Superior problem-solving skills
  • Good documentation skills
  • Willing to assist users with their tasks when needed

CERTIFICATIONS
  • Netapp Certified Data Administration (NCDA) - Preferred
  • EMC Certified Proven Professional or Certified Information Storage Associate (EMCISA) - Preferred
