RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client seeking an Engineering Technician I in Irvine, CA.
Responsibilities: Work in a fast paced team environment to validate the next generation of storage products for Surveillance, NAS, Gaming, and Consumer Electronic markets Follow technical test procedures and manuals to setup and run validation tests Clearly and technically document findings in Issue Tracking system Create technical reports and test procedures as needed Research and problem solve technical issues encountered Work with cross functional teams to communicate test status and gather new validation requests Create and maintain test scripts as needed Maintain and install lab equipment and software (PCs, Surveillance, NAS, Gaming, and Consumer Electronics) as neededREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science or equivalent 3+ years in electronics company or related field Experience troubleshooting technical issues Technical knowledge of HDDs and SSDs is desirable Scripting and programming experience is desirable (Power Shell, batch files, shell scripts, etc.) Networking knowledge & experience is a plus Knowledge of Surveillance systems is a plus Excellent oral and written communication skills Fast learner Ability to multi-task among multiple projects and manage time wisely Ability to work well on independent projects with little supervision Ability to work with others in a team environment Able to research and solve technical problems independently Pro-active with a good positive attitude and willingness to learn Responsible team player willing to help out and perform any task to get the job done Able to work extended hours and weekends as needed Excellent communication skills Application Testing experience Computer Troubleshooting Team Player NAS Automated Testing experience Test Procedures experience Scripting Batch Files Video Storage MaintenanceKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
