- You will be contributing to ensure the stability and health of both the ODM platform (running on IBM z/OS) and the dozens of RuleApps that run on the platform in production.
- Participate in extending existing monitoring and alerting capabilities.
- Mentor and provide guidance for RuleApp developers developing both HTDS and native COBOL integrations.
- Collaborate with your agile team and with senior IT and Business stakeholders to develop roadmaps for migrating to new versions of ODM (possibly including ODM Cloud), increasing the appropriate usage of Decision Center, and feedback on new uses of ODM for strategic projects.
- Ability to provide expert advice on refactoring legacy RuleApps is highly desired.
- Administer and maintain ODM production systems.
- Collaborate in Agile Team ceremonies.
- Provide technical training and consultation to other members of the IT organization.
- Participate in the comprehensive design of the overall application architecture for complex business systems that primarily utilize Java and related frameworks.
- Provide secondary coverage for IIB and BAW.
- Participate in requirements definition studies, development of workflows of current and proposed system operations, collection and organization of pertinent system documentation, and development of system documentation.
- Participate in the development of system internal and external design specifications.
- Resolve production system problems.
- Participate in the development of improved and innovative ways to utilize current system software, application system development and programming productivity aids, debugging and test tools.
- Investigate and recommend new methods, procedures, tools, and technologies. Participate with other IT professionals to evaluate new technologies in the market and recommend cohesive direction for the IT organization.
- Key Results/Outcomes: Provide ongoing technical support for new project development, enhancements, and daily system support.
- Troubleshoot and triage Production Issues
- Implement, enhance, and extend production Monitoring and alert capabilities
- Maintain and enhance custom ODM Dashboard (Vue.js + Spring Rest)
- Create and update ODM roadmap
- Enhance automated deployment + CI/CD
- Become secondary support for other Integration tier apps such as IIB and BAW.
- Support Developers with troubleshooting and debugging
- Conduct training for ODM development
- Analyze and review existing RuleApps
- Provide feedback on critical improvements
- Conduct reviews and code walk through
- Support increased test automation
- Four-year college degree in information systems, technology, or related area of computer science or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ Years of ODM Experience. IIB and BAW experience are pluses.
- 2 or more years' experience designing and deploying data processing and systems projects.
- Must be highly competent in these technology areas:
- Java plus several of the following:
- Struts 2Javascript / HTML5 / CSS3 AJAX / jQuery / JSON
- Design patterns SOAP / Web services
- Spring Other new technologies as they are deployed within the IT organization.
