Project Manager - Information Services (IS) Location Irvine, CA Duration: FTE Travel: 10% Position Summary The ideal candidate is an experienced Project Manager - IS capable of operating in a fast-paced, dynamic setting to support global product launches and implementations. This is a new role for the company, and as such this candidate will report to the Director Project Management and work closely with the IS and Engineering to lead new IS product launches that align with the corporate strategy. The Project Manager - IS is responsible for the overall success of the product development, implementation, and global roll out for new IS programs. The ideal candidate must be able to manage complex IS projects across multiple hardware, software, and firmware disciplines. In this role, you will interact with cross-functional teams and clients to launch new products that align with our corporate strategy and execute a successful product road map. Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Direct the multidisciplined team to ensure delivered solutions satisfy project requirements based on needs assessment, as well as compiling project requirements and other project related documentation
- Work with Product Owner through requirement gathering and prioritization
- Serve as the Information Services liaison between developers, Product Owner and other business unit participants for wireless hardware, software, and firmware development projects
- Responsible for timely communication of project/status updates, which include updating project requirements and documentation, as well as preparing, coordinating, and scheduling project status meetings
- Manage schedule creation and resource alignment for multiple IS, engineering and quality assurance (QA) teams
- Implement and oversee quality assurance procedures in accordance with our methodology to mitigate risk and ensure timely and successful launch
- Manage external vendors supporting the program including schedule, budget, and scope management
- Present project updates on global monthly calls and provide cost benefit analysis summaries and forecasting models for estimated project resources
- Minimize the exposure and risk on a project by identifying positive and negative risks that may impact projects and/or systems, develop contingency plans, and work to eliminate or mitigate risks
- Knowledge of wireless certification, cellular network requirements, 3GPP standards, RF Design/Test, MQTT server maintenance, wireless systems knowledge, and Antenna/RF design for Wi-Fi/Bluetooth
- Experience leading projects around total cellular, SaaS solutions, and custom logistic software application solutions projects
- Knowledge of supply chain and cargo logistics software. Cold chain experience a plus
- Knowledge of software, cellular technology, and firmware development
- Experience working on wireless consumer products and taking the products from concept phase to completion for mass production and global use
- Must have excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills

- 5-7 years of relevant experience
