QA Automation Engineer Irvine, CA Long Term Contract Responsibilities:
- 8+ years of professional experience in software development with languages like Java, Golang and Python.
- Good Understanding of Distributed systems, API Design
- Demonstratable experience developing complex software test frameworks that have resulted in high quality software successfully delivered to customers
- Experience with Automotive industry standards in testing using open source test frameworks/scripting languages/tools for validating serverless /containerized compute solutions that serve traffic through http
- Demonstratable Ability to take a project from test scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
- Experiencing mentoring junior software testing engineers and driving engineering excellence
- Expertise in application security and penetration Testing is a plus
- Expertise in identifying performance bottlenecks using load testing frameworks is a plus
- Knowledge and passion for current trends and best practices in software architecture, including performance,
- accessibility, security and usability.
- Good team player with ability to work with the team and partner teams throughout the software development lifecycle to achieve organizational goals.
- As a software test engineer, you will monitor and enhance the automated testing systems to ensure our high quality bar is maintained with each release.
- You will also collaborate with software engineers and product managers to ensure we deliver a complete experience to our customers.
- Develop end-to-end scenario tests that run within a continuous integration test system Strong understanding of Http, Web Services and API Design.
- Able to provide hands on technical guidance to junior team members, review feature, integration and end-to end test plans for completeness
- Strong experience with writing unit tests and different levels of testing (Unit, Integration, System level).
- Very good understanding of CI/CD principles and incorporation of Testing phases in a CI pipeline
