Additionally, supports the monthly Sales & Operations planning activities.Essential Job Functions: Utilizing the corporate forecasting system to analyze customer demand, trends, and apply appropriate forecasting models to develop both short and long-term forecasts. Serves as a communication leader between Operations, Marketing and Finance on forecasting issues, including but not limited to production levels, consumption levels and product launch timing. Facilitates the Sales and Operations Planning Process. Develops and maintains documentation of assumptions driving the forecasted volumes. Compares and reconciles the relationships between product demand, factory sales, financial forecasts and inventory data. Makes recommendations to marketing management on future sales levels and supports strategic decision making process. Creates presentations relating to the forecast and environmental impacts on the forecast. Serves as a liaison between Marketing, Operations and Finance.QualificationsQualified candidates will have the experience in the following:Creating forecast models for marketed products and manufacturing planning concepts and practices

Advanced knowledge of personal computer hardware and software applications, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access (strong Excel skills required);

Understanding of pharmaceutical industry data sources (e.g., IMS) and their application in the analysis and forecasting of product demand

Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions and implementing recommendations;

Building credibility and relationships with both internal and external customers.

Results & process oriented – focus on process improvements to drive higher levels of performance

Significant cross-functional leadership capabilities – ability to lead, collaborate and influence without authority; uses informal structure, dynamics and culture to get things done

Strong creative and conceptual thinking skills

Analytical and problem resolution skills

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a matrix organization; Effective collaboration with all constituencies is critical to the success of this position

Minimum Qualifications:Candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree in related field from an accredited college or university, three (3) or more years of relevant forecasting or other applicable experience in the consumer products or pharmaceutical industry. Expertise/familiarity in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
