Job Description
Strategic Procurement Manager Irvine, CA Direct Hire DOE Our client is in a state of growth and has an immediate opening for a Strategic Procurement Manager who will work with suppliers, business unit managers, purchasing, production planners, I/T and other appropriate resources to strategically plan and coordinate the flow of materials and information from customers through procurement to delivery. Responsible for matrix management responsibilities with business units and support groups for production planning, shipping, receiving and inventory functions. Successful candidate will provide direct leadership and management of Purchasing and Supplier Quality functions for division. Required Skills:- BA degree in a manufacturing-related business or technical discipline, and 8 or more years of progressive experience within the specialty area
- 4 or more years of increasing responsibility for leadership within manufacturing operations requiring advanced project planning and team organization skills.
- Demonstrating teamwork, team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives.
- Thorough understanding of production technology, and/or specialty support areas including broad knowledge of business and regulatory environments and trends.
- Certification or a professional in a specialty area (e.g., APICS)
