As a CoStar Software Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and implementing new products and features across our Apartments Network sites. These include high traffic sites like Apartments.com, ForRent.com, ApartmentFinder.com, and others. You will work with a broad range of technologies and will be integral in driving our products to provide the best experience in the industry. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Craft elegant and extensible solutions, at scale, using modern Front-End frameworks and technologies to deliver features that people interact with, and rely on, every day.
  • Manage and drive complex technical projects from the planning stage through to execution.
  • Collaborate closely with other Software Engineers across the organization.
  • Advocate standards-driven technology.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years professional software development experience with front end frameworks such as Angular (preferred), ReactJS, etc.
  • Experience with TypeScript and latest EcmaScript
  • Software development experience in Javascript, HTML and CSS.
  • Professional experience coding in a general-purpose programming language.
  • Experience working with Data Structures or Algorithms
  • Experience with browser-based development tools
PREFERRED QUALIFCATIONS
  • Experience working with large, high traffic websites.
  • Experience with service-oriented architecture.
  • Software development experience in one or more of these programming languages: C# (preferred), Java, C/C, Python, or Go.
  • Experience developing for mobile platforms.
  • Confident ability to debug, benchmark and optimize code.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
