Kelly Services is currently seeking an experienced R&D ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN for our client, a leader in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, at their site in Irwindale, CA . This is a long-term open-ended opportunity , typically multi-year. Please review our qualifications below and APPLY NOW if interested!R&D TechnicianThe R&D Technician will support project teams in the development of electrophysiology catheters, related accessories, as well as other prototype medical devices. Project support includes prototyping new product designs and new manufacturing processes.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe R&D Technician will work under direct supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal laws/regulations, state and local laws/regulations, and in-house procedures and guidelines.

Works with R&D Technicians and Engineer to create new product designs new manufacturing processes through prototyping

Works with R&D Technicians and Engineer(s) to solve complicated product assembly issues in new products

Along with the R&D Technician, responsible for training the manufacturing assemblers on new product processes

Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level

Responsible for following all company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices

Responsible for complying with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of four years of related experience is required

Ability to perform assembly work under a microscope

Understanding of product structure (Bills of Material, routings, etc.)

Ability to participate in a technical team

Must possess good communication skills (verbal and written)

Must have excellent dexterity and ability to work with small components

Must have excellent soldering ability

Work environment is a combination of prototype lab environment and manufacturing cleanroom
