Position Overview:Sutter Amador Hospital has a rich history of providing care for residents and visitors of Amador County since 1876 and is the only hospital in Amador County serving a population over 40,000. Today, the 66-bed, acute care facility offers a full range of services including 24-hour emergency services with fast track, surgery, ob/gyn, diagnostic imaging, clinical laboratory, cardiology, gastroenterology, diabetes education and pediatrics. We will continue to be here for our community well into the future.POSITION SUMMARYA Staff Nurse II is a licensed professional nurse who acts as a patient advocate to deliver individualized care through the use of the nursing process. The Staff Nurse II C oordinates total nursing care for patients. Participates in patient/family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professionalnursing practice in the clinical setting. Important dimensions of this position consist of Clinical Judgment and Quality of Care; Caring Practices; Ethical Practice and Response to Diversity; Systems Effectiveness; Clinical Inquiry and Learning; and Leadership and Collaboration. These dimensions incorporate the competencies defined by the California Board of Registered Nursing and the ANA Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice. Ability to work during weekdays, weekends, holidays, and various shift hours.Qualifications:MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Education/ Knowledge, including Licensure/ Certification/ RegistrationCurrently licensed as a Registered Nursing in State of California. Basic Life Support (Advanced Cardiac Life Support for Specialty Areas) Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.ExperienceExperience in acute care or sub-acute care nursing.SkillsIndependently practices and prioritizes multiple demands in an ever-changing environment.
