DescriptionAccountemps has challenging temporary opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Mortgage Industry. This role is primed for a go getter and could become a full-time opportunity for the most Achievement Oriented candidate!RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with month-end closing process including all accruals and adjusting entries. Reconcile financials discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. Reconcile major balance sheet accounts such as inventory, fixed assets, prepaid, and accounts payable. Document accounting procedures as needed. Maintain financial security by following internal controls. Prepare special financial reports on an as needed basis. Serve as backup for accounts receivable and accounts payable. Additional duties and special projects as assigned. Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to detail. Team player.RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred. 1-2 year’s general ledger accounting experience required.
