Our direct end-client is seeking a Senior E-Commerce Analyst to join their team for a full-time role in La Mirada, CA 90638 (Los Angeles County). Candidate must be okay working onsite at new La Mirada location 2-3 days a week once business operations reopen! JOB SUMMARY The Sr. E-Commerce Analyst will be responsible for building the analytics engine for the eCommerce team. They will partner with existing business owners within SEO, Email, and the broader website experience to build more sophisticated reporting which will not only help optimize existing offerings but also identify opportunities for innovation to deliver future growth. KEY Responsibilities:
- Build systems and processes to increase volume and quality of data capture across all eCommerce activities
- Create and maintain a standard set of reporting dashboards to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns (automating creation of reports/dashboards as much as possible)
- Own the creation of audience segments using data from our customer data platform and other offline data
- Partner with email marketing manager to highlight opportunities for further personalization/ content creation
- Partner with SEO team, write SQL queries in BigQuery & Alteryx, connect revenue data to online visits & keywords ranking
- Lead and create overall data infrastructure strategy for the launch of a new Customer Data Platform (CDP) and the corresponding changes to our cloud data warehouse and cloud analytics
- Identify opportunities for data standardization to enable more efficient data analysis across all job functions
- Work cross functionally to develop and execute analytical reporting and analytics capabilities to drive ecommerce strategy aligning with overall business goals and objectives
- Expand current A/B testing initiatives to include omni-channel data and more nuanced analyses of test results which will give us better insights at the factors that drove success/failure
- Create cohort, LTV, and retention analyses to move us beyond focus on initial acquisition
- Participate in broader marketing campaign creation as a key member (i.e., not a purely number crunching role)
- Train and mentor junior members of the team to increase analytics proficiency for the entire team
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Marketing, Business Administration, Analytics, Engineering/ related field or equivalent professional experience
- 7-10 years of experience in E-commerce or and/or Digital Marketing Analytics
- Expert technical skills in SQL/ writing SQL queries to connect revenue data and optimize business outcomes - highly analytical with strong grasp of SQL database management and reporting
- Prior experience with Customer Data Platforms such as Tealium Audiencestream, Segment, Zaius, or Exponea
- Proven technical background using Google Analytics, Google BigQuery, or Amplitude for granular customer experience analytics
- Hands-on experience building sophisticated SQL reports in BigQuery, Tableau, Alteryx, or Looker
- Experience using ETL/ ELT processes for production data systems and/or working with Web API's, Postman, or SOAP UI
- Strong A/B testing experience for enabling data-driven decisions, ensuring positive impacts, and driving business metrics
- Proficient knowledge and experience with some form of project management software like Basecamp, JIRA, Pivotal Tracker, or Workfront
- To perform this job successfully, this individual must have skilled technical experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, SQL, and Tableau
