A leader in the Non-Profit Education space is looking to bring on a Senior Network Engineer to their IT Infrastructure Group. Our client manages the largest non-profit network infrastructure for state education in the nation, hosting over 20 million users on their infrastructure. They partner up with the California State Board of Education to provide high performance network infrastructure to K-12, State operated Community Colleges, and the UC systems of schools, for research initiatives. They are looking to bring on a Senior Network Engineer to build out and maintain their primary product network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in large scale WAN design and Architecture with deep knowledge of advanced routing protocols such as BGP, MPLS, ISIS, as well as experienced working in a Multi-Vendor Environment (Cisco, Juniper, Ruckus, Palo Alto, etc.). Experience with Optical Transport, Traffic Engineering, Segment Routing, and Network Automation would be a Big Plus!
- 8+ Years Experience in Network Engineering
- CCIE level or Equivalent Experience
- Strong experience with Multi-Vendor Environements (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Ruckus, etc.)
- Routing Protocols experience with MPLS, BGP and ISIS
- Experience with L1/L2/L3 Design and Architecture
- Network Automation Scripting with Python
- Experience with Optical Transport (DWDM, CWDM)
- Experience with Segment Routing
- Experience with Traffic Engineering
- Experience with SNMP or NETCONF
- 100% WAN Network Design and Architecture
