Join us and together we will drive the future of health care.This is an exceptional opportunity to do innovative work that means more to you and those we serve at one of America's leading health benefits companies and a Fortune Top 50 Company.Director I Sales/Account Mgmt. - Group Retiree - PS27925The selected candidate will work from one of the Anthem Blue offices in one of the following states: CA, CT, CO, GA, IN KY, ME, MO, NH, NV, NY, OH, VA, WIThe specific cities for the office locations can be found on our website.Strongly prefer the selected candidate to be located in the Midwest or East.Responsible for directing account management retention activities (including in-group growth strategies) for the company's group retiree product portfolio ( medical, pharmacy and specialty products). Typically directs renewal and growth activities with annual Premium Equivalents less than $500 million and membership less than 100,000 contracts. Directs and coordinates account sales activities.Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:Provides leadership and strategic direction to ensure profitable growth.Develops strategies and executes retention and in-group growth plans to achieve membership growth and financial goals.Develops sales, marketing and compensation plans.Develops and motivates staff to achieve common goals.Reports to the national Staff VP Retiree Account Management.Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Requires a BA/BS;

8 years of professional/leadership experience in sales and/or account management growth and retention in the managed care industry; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Experience in Commercial Large Group, Public Sector/Labor or National Accounts is required.

Experience in group retiree is strongly preferred.

Excellent managerial and leadership skills required.
