DescriptionApply your accounting expertise for an influential company as an Accounting Manager. This position is available for immediate occupancy and offered through Robert Half Finance. In this position, you will be responsible for leading daily operations such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. The ideal candidate should be able to establish and scale company accounting and finance operations. Based in the La Palma, California area, this Accounting Manager position is a terrific opportunity for full-time employment.Key responsibilitiesPlay a key role in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, which includes system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration
Periodically review and inspect the balance sheets and income statement accounts of Senior Accountants
Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Lead and supervise the accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure close deadlines are met
Possess a thorough knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Assemble various technical accounting policies, procedures, and analyses
Work alongside FP&A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
RequirementsCustomer service oriented communication skills that allow for pleasant and beneficial interactions with all customers
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
Adeptness in Process Improvement
Practical knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Background working with Vendor Management
Inventory Reconciliation experience preferred
General familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated knowledge of Process Improvement
Command of Fixed Asset Inventory
Solid understanding of month end closings
Strong familiarity with inventory analysis
Vendor Manage Inventory experience highly preferred
Journal entries experience
5+ years of recent relevant financial experience
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Reliable technology and analytical abilities
Excellent problem-solving skills
Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
