Job Description

To provide Human Resources direction to the Livingston Complex in regards to recruitment and employeerelations support for each facility.

Recruit for vacancies for first line supervision and clerical positions. Oversee staffing for hourly, union positions through clerical staff utilizing the uniform hiring process and posting process. Generate staffing reports as needed.

Provide guidance to management regarding Kronos, administration of wages, ADA accommodations/employee restrictions, the LOA process, staffing, etc. for each of the facilities supported.

Back-up to HR Business Partnersfor employee relations support to the Livingston Complex regarding fair and equitable treatment, workloads, compliance with contract, policies, practices, procedures, and government laws and regulations. Represent the company at EDD hearings. May represent company in employees in the internal disputeresolution process. Maintain accurate records of all concerns, complaints and investigations. Ensuring that each come to closure.

Interact with employees regarding extensions to LOAs when employee has exhausted FMLA/CFRA and engage in the interactive process with employees under ADA Reasonable Accommodation Process.

Assist in preparationof annual wage increases for Salary, Clerical, Technical, Non-Union and Union employees in area of responsibility.

Generate communications to workforce as needed, assist with preparations for annual events at facilities (onsite training, United Way campaign, Holiday Luncheons, Diversity Day, Picnics, service awards, retirement luncheons, etc.)

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred
  • 1-3 years’ experience in Human Resources Management
  • Proven track record in creating and maintaining employee communications strategies and employee engagement plans and initiatives including recognition, employee engagement events and strategies for collecting employee feedback and creating action plans to address employee concerns and ideas.
  • Proven work experience leading recruiting efforts for a Manufacturing facility for hourly plant and plant management positions.
  • Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency-based, behaviorial etc.)
  • Hands on experience with various selection processes (video interviewing,phone interviewing, reference check etc.)
  • Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Candidate Management Systems (CMS)
  • Hands-on experience with recruiting software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) or Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS)
  • Some supervisory experience preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish or Punjabi is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (specifically Excel)
  • Ability to handle multi-tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and think independently
  • Proven ability to stay calm under pressure in potentially stressful situations.
