Description Job Description:The National Solutions Group at Leidos has an opening for a Mobile Communications Coordinator supporting mission applications maintenance in Santa Barbara, California. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your skills and experience to support our customer’s mission.Primary ResponsibilitiesEnsures the availability and activity of mission critical launch communications systems through proactive updates, testing, maintenance, and support. Works with a team and independently to maintain and ensure system continuity. Creates, updates or enhances maintenance and operations documentation.Independently performs incident and problem management to resolve or escalate issues in order to restore service to government customers. Updates or creates knowledge articles to train and have just in time training for Tier 1 to resolve system and hardware interruptions without escalation to Tier 2.Ensure the availability of mission processors through proactive Tier 2 Software and hardware maintenancePerform incident and problem management to resolve or escalate hardware and system issuesSupport system and hardware configuration management and change management activitiesSupport system and hardware service transitions Perform request fulfillment activities including account management and hardware and system configuration changesCoordinate with other maintenance, operations and engineering contracts as requiredDocument all hardware, software and system work performedCreate, update or enhance maintenance and operations documentationEnsure security of mission processors and IT infrastructureProvide call-in support as requiredFrequent travel is required for this positionBasic QualificationsActive TS/SCI with PolygraphTypically requires BS and 2- 4 years of prior relevant experience.Launch or mission operations experienceExperience performing Tier 2 hardware and system maintenance on mission critical systemsExperience supporting and performing configuration management, change management and service transitionExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to work collaboratively and constructively as part of a teamMust be willing to perform call-in support as requiredPreferred QualificationsStrong Analytical skillsSharePoint, NETS, ServiceNowITIL Foundations certificationCurrent DoD 8570 certification applicable to the position (typically Security+)External Referral Bonus:EligiblePotential for Telework:NoClearance Level Required:Top Secret/SCI with PolygraphTravel:Yes, 25% of the timeScheduled Weekly Hours:40Shift:DayRequisition Category:ProfessionalJob Family:HardwareLeidos is a Fortune 500® information technology, engineering, and science solutions and services leader working to solve the world's toughest challenges in the defense, intelligence, homeland security, civil, and health markets.
