As a Structural Analysis Engineer in the Propulsion Engineering Organization, you will be working on Boeing Commercial Aircraft Propulsion products.Variety in work is assured with tasks that range from the development phase, providing sustaining program support, to post-production fleet support and after-market modifications. You will gain learning experiences to enhance your career as a part of a team of highly knowledgeable and experienced engineers making an immediate impact on Boeing’s success in the aviation industry.Position Responsibilities:Support the team in performing detailed structural analysis (static strength, durability/fatigue and damage tolerance) to determine structural integrity (margins of safety), using classical techniques and Boeing tools. This analysis supports responses to customer inquiries, service bulletin development, failure investigation, regulatory agency coordination and to show compliance with regulatory requirements.Take instructions well and be able to support providing guidance on structural design and configuration development.Support trade studies to optimize structure and meet program requirements.Assist in developing, deploying, and supporting in-house and commercial application software to enable efficient performance of engineering tasks.Work with the team to integrate component-level structural models and perform integrated analysis, using finite element methods, to develop internal loads and stresses in order to verify structural integrity with some/minimal instruction.Document required structural data to comply with Boeing, our customers, and regulatory requirements.Participate in the resolution of technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer (internal and external).This role may require some travel to support our customers and provide learning experiences to enhance your career.The selected candidate will be required to perform work on-site.Employer willing to sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering or STEM.3+ years of related engineering experience.Experience with Hand and/or Computational CalculationsExperience in metallic and/or composite static analysis.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience coordinating with internal customers, adjacent teams, and/or stakeholders.Experience with testing (vibe, strain gauge, proof pressure, etc.)Experience with NASTRAN/PATRA, HYPERMESH, ABAQUS, or any other stress analysis suite.Experience with Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Analysis.Experience with Finite Element Analysis5+ years of Experience with Structural Analysis.Level 3 - 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Level 4 - 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master degree preferred.Level 5 - 12 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
