Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Simulation Software Engineer for an opportunity with a client located in Long Beach, CA.

Job Responsibilities:

Generate, analyze, debug, document, and test software that simulates characteristics of aircraft systems based on system design documents
Integrate software components into fully functional software system
Develop and execute test procedures to ensure software system requirements are met
Develop, select, and deploy software metrics, processes, and tools
Support software coordination and integration activities with local training campus and possibly other locations - as required - to ensure successful integration and acceptance of software
Support qualifications of full-flight simulators

Required Qualifications:

10+ years of engineering experience in development and execution of flight simulations
Bachelor/Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Software Engineering
Strong knowledge of modern C principles and practice
Ability to coach, mentor and motivate junior team members
Ability to communicate complex software concepts - in both written and verbal forms - to both management and technical team
Ability to interpret engineering math and physics concepts and implement as software algorithms and models
Ability to work effectively within an Agile development team and with people across the globe

Preferred Qualifications:

Significant experience using both Linux and Windows operating systems
Experience participating in software development cycles using Agile methodology
Experience with Eclipse or Visual Studio
Experience using Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Specification Control Documents (SCDs), schematics, and wiring diagrams to develop simulation software
