job detailsjob summary:A Structural and Payload Design Engineer is needed for a multinational aerospace corporation that designs, manufactures, and sells airplanes, rotorcraft, rockets, satellites, and telecommunications equipment in the Long Beach, CA (hybrid) area. This position will assists to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.location: Long Beach, Californiajob type: Contractsalary: $40.00 - 52.88 per hourwork hours: 8am to 5pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:Work multiple projects and for each project be responsible for gathering requirements from stakeholders, planning, organizing, scheduling, and assessing risks; leading all aspects of implementation.
Produce project initiation and status documentation for all projects and conduct management and customer reviews.
Leadership experience developing and managing project teams and project schedules, planning, cost and EVMS.
Build strong project implementation teams and facilitate team discussions as appropriate.
Prioritize, delegate and track tasks and action items needed to achieve project completion.
Facilitate and resolve issues.
Develop overall project plan consistent with project objectives as defined by the project owner and key stakeholders.
Lead others and direct all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
Skills:Assists to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.
Develops, maintains and modifies basic structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
Performs tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
Assists with supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
Supports investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
Works under general supervision.
