This position is based remotely in San Diego (Southern California)Territory: Southern California (mainly SD, LA, Riverside) and occasionally CO, UT, AZHow will you make an impact?This role will directly impact our mission of making the world healthier and cleaner by providing custom service and reagent solutions to customers who are conducting research and discovery, such as in the areas of therapeutics and diagnostics.The position leads sales execution of the Gene Synthesis and Cloning portfolio in an assigned geography in accordance with approved sales and marketing plans. The TSS will have the ability and seek to promote the product features, benefits and applications to successfully sell the company products and services to achieve assigned targets. The successful candidate will be recognized as a technical leader within the sales force that drives strategic objectives and adoption of new products.What will you do?Achieve or exceed sales quota and objectives in the assigned territory, while maintaining profitability

Maintain contact with customers to promote new products, close deals, and grow sales, as well as develop new prospects

Develop positive relationships with existing customers and potential customers at various levels of organizations to allow product and service information to be communicated and embraced, as well as strategic information to be collected

Coordinate and conduct technical seminars and product shows as related to the portfolio

Work independently, as well as collaborate alongside a team of account managers and other specialists in order to drive business growth and revenue targets

Sales responsibilities include: lead generation, team selling, managing the sales cycle, forecasting, territory analytics

This is a field sale role; travel expectation is 25-50%.

How will you get here?EducationRequires a minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Cell Biology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field; or the equivalent knowledge and industry/functional experience
