Job Description
Systems Administrator Long Beach, CA Direct Hire ( This is a Nightshift position. 5pm - 3am, 4/10s) Successful candidate will perform basic systems testing and operational tasks for a wide variety of systems. Work with companies, client and third-party technical and service teams to maintain, troubleshoot and remediate technical issues. Support multiple technical systems in 24 x 7 environment operational environments with high uptime requirements. Perform basic systems security administration functions, including creating customer profiles and accounts. Monitor and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency. Maintain system documentation and logs. Perform or assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing production problems; corrects identified problems. Maintain application security, event investigations and compliance enforcement. Provide monitoring and primary response and intervention for information technology related security incidents and violations. Conduct ongoing security risk assessments including the monitoring, investigation and reporting of security and access violations. Install and maintain network servers, operating systems, and other network equipment.Required Skills:- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field, or equivalent corporate or military training.
- Strong experience with Active Directory
- Strong working knowledge of VMWare
- A minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and error correction on a variety of server/storage technologies
- Working knowledge of general client and server operating systems and back-office applications, including but not limited to the Microsoft Windows Operating System (multiple versions), Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, etc.
- Strong communication skills in the English language, with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical personnel in high-stress situations
