DescriptionYou might be a good fit for this Accounts Receivable (A/R) position, if you want to join a growing Logistics company with a dynamic team. The ideal candidate for this position can enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging reports, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, and update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. As the full-time Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will work in the Los Alamitos, California region.Responsibilities
Follow standard procedures to execute general accounting tasks
Work with clients to solve payment issues; set up payment plans as needed
Ensure the mission, values, and culture of the organization are supported, conveyed and reinforced
Post and balance financial data in various ledgers to reconcile bank accounts
Process payments and assemble segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
Answer questions from shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders
Confirm documents and codes are correct
Requirements
3+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
Accounts receivable aging experience preferred
Solid understanding of accounts receivable
Current and relevant ERP system experience
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
Established analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
