Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing general ledger accounting, inventory accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable teams including, but not limited to Month-end close, accounts receivable reserves, account payable accruals, prepaid, fixed assets, intangible assets, lease accounting, intercompany accounting, and consolidation.

Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close.

Review/prepare journal entries and account reconciliations, as needed

Ensure accounting records are recorded in accordance with US GAAP, maintained, and filed

Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.

Lead the preparation/review of financial accounting reports, including summary/detailed account analysis reports.

Lead the preparation/review of monthly fluctuation analysis.

Collaborate and assist the finance team with annual budgets and forecasts.

Provide coaching, development opportunities, and performance feedback to new and existing staff, as needed.

Develop, implement, and monitor operating procedures to ensure company policies affecting financial matters are observed and assets safeguarded analyze, recommend, and execute process changes for continual improvement.

Collaborate with the department managers to support company goals and objectives.

Perform accounting research and provide technical guidance, as needed.

Assist with external audits, tax filings, and other tax matters.

Assist the CFO and VP of Finance and Controller, as needed.

Other duties will be assigned, as needed, to meet future business needs.

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES

BA/BS in Accounting or Finance with 10 or more years of supervisory experience.

CPA license required.

Strong understanding of US GAAP.

Must have strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel.

Strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines.

Hands-on, work independently, able to learn quickly, and open to change.

Excellent analytical, math, and organizational skills.

Have strong written and oral communications skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across the organization.

Experience building and improving accounting processes, controls, and systems.

Must be available to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advance notice, and travel as needed.
