Operations Assistant- Wholesale Fabric Company in Boyle Heights.

$16 to $17 per hour to start. After 90 day review: annual salary available $40,000.00 to start.

We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a full-time Operations Assistant Manager. The Operations Asst. duties will include scheduling, managing customer service levels, productivity, maintaining customer relationships, coaching, mentoring and evaluating employee performance. In addition, this person will be the technical expert and a resource for customers and crews to help drive service and productivity. We are searching for a team-player who will be energetic and innovative in this position.

Lead and be accountable for the warehouse and office staff and review P&Ls

Lead and manage employee performance

Become a subject matter expert in company service offerings

Develop scheduling, capacity planning, and staffing plans

Ensure accurate and timely completion of shipments.

Be the key interface with employees, customers, troubleshooting issues and communicating information

Drive efforts to manage and improve costs using and refining time and productivity standards

Lead specific projects to improve operations, onboard customers, and drive profitability

Improve operational systems, processes, and policies to scale the business and support growth

Recruit, train and mentor employees as needed.

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience

Knowledge of recruiting and human resources experience

Ability to lead employees.

Interest and ability to learn about fabrics and marketing.

Hands-on roll-up-your-sleeves attitude

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Organization and management skills

Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word): Ability to adapt to new technology and systems

Accountability “ able to manage multiple priorities and meet business deadlines; sense of urgency

Provide excellent customer service

Must be a team-player and collaborative who interacts well with the team

Unyielding integrity and transparency

Ability to work on-site at company headquarters and be available to team and owner after hours

Must pass a criminal background and DMV record check

Experience:

operations: 2 years (Preferred)

Education:

Associates or equivalent experience (Preferred)
