A licensed general contractor in Santa Monica is hiring a Part-Time Construction / Project Assistant to work alongside a senior project manager (25+ years experience) on projects for aerospace clients, property managers, developers, and business owners.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced environment where the right person will be trained directly toward a Project Manager role. We’re looking to invest long-term in someone who works hard, learns quickly, and has a great attitude.
ABOUT THE ROLE
2–3 days per week to start (in-person)
Assist with project documents, estimates, and schedules
Track materials, subs, and jobsite progress
Organize digital files, photos, and permits
Help with site coordination and inspections (local only)
REQUIREMENTS
U.S. citizen or green card holder (required) – we work with government & aerospace clients
Fast learner with strong attention to detail
Mus have reliable transportation.
Able to handle a fast-moving, high-expectation environment
Hard worker with great communication and problem-solving skills
Reliable, organized, and tech-comfortable (Google Drive, Excel, PDFs, etc.)
Construction admin or coordination experience preferred
Comfortable around dogs - we have an office GSD who is sweet as can be, but she loves to play ball.
PAY & TERMS
$25/hr to start, with quick advancement potential based on initiative and performance - bonus and commission opportunity.
W-2 employment with a 90-day probationary period
Part-time with potential to grow into a full-time Project Manager
