You must love detail, and be adamantly opposed to numbers not adding up. The Dojo Manager keeps track of the billing and scheduling, ensuring the place runs smoothly. You would handle sales (in person and online), membership sign-ups, and will be largely responsible for most all of the business not actively related to teaching and to kenpo. You will be working with Apple computers, using Quickbooks, Word, and Google Docs, you would greet folks coming in, answer phones, sign students up, describe the workings and the culture of the studio, restock inventory, and some mild tidying up. You would deal with students (kids and adults), parents, and government offices (Regional Centers). There are plenty of smaller details – looking up new online kids' coloring pages, helping decorate for holidays, all the details that make running the dojo seem seamless.
