We are looking for individuals who prefer flexibility over their daily schedule and yet still want to be a part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking an energetic and hard-working Child Development Specialists to join our growing team. The Child Development Specialist works closely with the parents or care givers in directing and implementing a child learning program involving cognitive, language, social-emotional, and physical development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Child Development Specialist;

drives to a child's home, works with and observes parents working with the child.

reviews the child's individual family service plan and the procedures designed to monitor the child's progress

monitors clients over time and makes repeated weekly visits

Completes related service procedures: treatment planning, record keeping, and progress reporting

Develop supplementary documents and/or materials relevant to treatment goals and implementation

Communicate proactively and effectively with learners’ parents regarding progress and/or concerns

Provide materials relevant to learners’ strengths and needs to parents and/or instructional staff

Maintain cleanliness and integrity of therapy materials and therapy environment

Communicate concerns to Clinical Services Director

Other duties as assigned

Salary: $25- $28/hr.

Requirements:

Experience with developmentally delayed, high-risk infants and treating infants and toddlers ages birth to three years of age in the home environment.

BA in child development, special education, developmental psychology, social work or related field. This can be replaced with related work experience.

Experience working with parents and sensitivity to parents' needs.

Ability to work independently and be a contributing team member.

Strong communication skills: verbal and written. Good organizational skills.

Reliable transportation to children’s home.

Ideal Candidate Skill Set:

- Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle.

- Excellent organizational, time management, verbal, and written skills.

- Ability and drive to work independently

- Solution-oriented critical thinking

- Strong verbal and written communications skills;

- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and patients across functions and cultures;

- Superb attention to detail;
