Little Acorns Grow is accepting applications for an assistant afternoon teacher to help in our 2-3-year-old class. You will join a passionate team that truly cares for one another and strives to meet the highest standards of care and early education. Little Acorns Grow has a nurturing and extensive preschool program. Using a blend of educational philosophies, we create a fun, safe, and encouraging learning environment. Each preschool day includes free play time, organized play and learning activities as well as enrichment classes focusing on music, art, physical education, and hands-on science.
Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
Following curriculum and daily schedule.
Keeping the classrooms clean and orderly
Be familiar with and follow all school policies and licensing rules.
Deliver reports on potential concerns about students to management as needed.
Qualifications:
Twelve (12) Units in Early Childhood Education
CPR and First Aid certification
Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related field
Possess a teamwork mindset, strong communication skills, organization skills and problem-solving ability
Ability to build rapport with children, families and peers
Experience:
Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
Job Type: Part Time (2:00pm-6:00pm)
