This international chain math tutoring centers is scaling up their eLearning platform to be used by hundreds-of-thousands of students. They are looking for an Engineering Manager that brings 2+ years of formal management experience and 5+ years of hands-on development experience, ideally within a C#/.NET environment. This Manager will lead, engage, hire, and retain a team of 5-8 engineers, so and an ideal candidate must have strong communication skills and knowledge of Software Development Best Practices. communicate with product owners & other departments. The position will be based out of Culver City 3 days/wk. and offers a competitive annual salary of up to 160K + bonus. The role will be 90% management-focused, but you will contribute your technical knowledge in code reviews, product releases, and scrum meetings. There are two applications on which you'll be primarily focused initially. Their core application, used internally by the thousands of the franchisees and teachers at their math learning nationwide, is built in C#, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, RESTful API, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, & SQL. You will also have a chance to work on a major initiative in their pipeline, which will be mostly greenfield development using the latest and greatest with the Microsoft stack. Their next generation eLearning platform will be used by hundreds-of-thousands of students across the United States and internationally. For this, the team will be using C#, .NET Core, Microservices, RESTful API, JavaScript, Razor, AWS, DynamoDB, SQL, etc. Also, the team implements unit-testing, so relevant experience in a Microsoft environment is a big plus for this role. Collaboration within the team is certainly valued, and although the timeline for returning to the office has become increasing dynamic, the current plan is to ultimately get back into the office three days per week to get some facetime. Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ yrs as an Engineering Manager
  • 5+ yrs as a Software Engineer (C#/.NET Preferred)
  • Strong Communication
  • Ability to Lead, Engage, Hire, & Retain Developers
  • CS or STEM Degree
