Job Summary: The Development Operations Engineer is a highly skilled and cross-disciplined (systems engineering, networking and database) technically-oriented role that is responsible for, but not limited to, the development of the automation of technical processes; monitoring, administration and performance of the infrastructure; using continuous improvement processes, as well as maintain the stability of enterprise applications and websites. Our applications and websites are all running on 100% public cloud across Azure, AWS and Google Cloud Platform.

Required Qualifications (Job Knowledge, Skills, and Education):

A minimum of 4-6 years of related work experience

Experience in cloud-based DevOps

Eagerness to work in a highly collaborative team environment

Understanding of DevOps fundamentals such as security, scalability, and reliability

Ability to design and create cloud-based software defined networking

Familiarity with fault tolerant infrastructure designs including the use of regions and availability zones

Familiarity with Kubernetes setup, configuration, and deployment

Proficiency in a scripting language such as Bash or PowerShell

Experience in at least one programming language (JavaScript, Ruby, Python, PHP, C#)

Experience with a unified, real-time monitoring and analytics platform, such as Azure Log Analytics, Google StackDriver / Operations Suite, New Relic, Splunk or Datadog

Understanding of Microsoft SQL or MySQL

Experience using a CI/CD tool like CircleCI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline

Familiar with an Agile work environment

Great verbal and written communication skills

Strong analytical, decision-making, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills

Results driven with reliable follow through

Preferred Qualifications (if applicable):

Experience building infrastructure as code with a templating specification such as Azure ARM Templates, AWS CloudFormation, AWS SAM or Terraform

Experience defining and configuring Azure cloud services such as Traffic Managers, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Container Registry (ACR), Azure Front Door, Azure Application Insights, Azure Key Vault, Load balancers, VNets, Azure Event Hub

Experience automating the deployment for a microservices platform

Experience working on a project that uses a JavaScript Framework (Ember.js, Vue.js, React, Angular)

Experience configuring infrastructure and application alerts, alarms, and notifications

Experience solving application monitoring challenges through the use of continuous synthetic transactions

Comfortable using Git version control
