Clinical Applications Analyst (

Ambulatory Analyst II)The experienced Clinical Applications Analyst is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and modifying programming systems; including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organization's application systems. The analyst will consult with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives, and support project implementation activity; document requirements and define scope and objectives. This position works under general supervision.

This is an onsite only employee position in Los Angeles w/ salary and benefits

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and support clinical applications on and off normal scheduled shifts (troubleshooting, updates, fixes and project support, on-call)
  • Responsible for supporting PowerChart and PowerChart Maternity and including Care Management, Discharge Process, Orders, PowerNotes, Dietary/Respiratory, PowerForms
  • Develop test scripts and assist with workflow developments
  • Work with the Clinical Informatics team hand-in-hand and resolve issues for the end user
  • Documenting detailed description of user needs, program functions and steps required to develop or modify computer programs
  • Documents all build activities in conjunction with updating vendor provided applications specifications and perform integration and unit testing
  • Adhere to version control processes
  • May be expected to write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections
  • Writes manual for users to describe installation and operating procedures
  • Knowledge in Ambulatory is a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong work ethic, team and customer service orientation, proven dependability and promptness
  • Familiar with relational databases and client-server concepts
  • Experience in Clairvia, Bridge, Dynamic Doc, and mPages is preferred

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent work experience in a related field and
  • 2 to 5 years in a professional capacity within a computing environment, with a demonstrated progression in responsibilities and experience
  • Experience with clinical applications required
  • Previous Healthcare Industry Experience Preferred
  • Nurse or Nursing experience preferred (RN, LPN) with Nursing EMR or EMR implementation a plus
