Rights Analyst

MUST HAVES: Comprehensive understanding of underlying distribution & music rights; analytical skills to perform analysis of exclusive & non-exclusive grant of rights, restrictions/holdbacks including written summaries and abstracts. MS Office - Excel, (intermediate) Adobe Acrobat, database systems HM is essentially looking for a paralegal, with experience doing legal review of rights contracts. Must be able to summarize and analyze from the paper to the system (in house databases). Entertainment experience is critical - need to know what VOD is and what SVOD is. HRCS2234641 NOTE: This assignment will be remote in the SoCal/Studio area

Analyze product agreements and summaries to rapidly resolve distribution and music rights queries and exploitation for all product including but not limited to: Features, TV Series, DTV, MFT, TV Specials, Shorts, and bonus material. Accountable for the consistency and integrity of product data in database systems. Proactively update and maintain product information summaries and schedules. Manage a comprehensive list of restricted features/series and provide updates as corporate/departmental strategies change. Heavy manipulation of metadata in excel to migrate material deal points into a database.

Minimum 2-4 years' work experience. Highly organized and motivated individual with excellent communication skills needed to support Product Rights In team. Comprehensive understanding of underlying distribution rights and music rights in the TV and film industry, coupled with strong analytical skills to be able to perform analysis of exclusive vs. non-exclusive grant of rights, exclusivities, restrictions/holdbacks. Excellent oral and written communication skills for interaction with legal team and sales staff. Self-starter with ability to prioritize. Excellent time management skills. Ability to multi-task doing analytical, detail-oriented, high volume work, in support of multiple teams Excellent computer skills required - MS Office especially advanced Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, database systems.
