They are proof of our dedication to creating a multifaceted, inclusive environment that fuels innovation and the gold standard of patient care we strive for.What will you be doing in this role:The EIS Cache Database Administrator/Client Systems Engineer works closely on the EIS ODBA/ECSA technology team and with other EIS staff to install, maintain, fix, monitor and optimize our Epic applications, environments and the systems they run on. This includes our Epic Cache databases, Epic ancillary Windows applications, Clarity/Cogito admin, Data Courier migrations and administration.Installs, upgrades, maintains and supports Epic ancillary applications (Web Blob, Interconnect, Hyperspace Web, EPS, etc.) and Cache databases on selected server platform. Assists junior peers on sophisticated issues. Provides technical expertise to outside vendors, contractors, EIS management and other EIS staff as needed.

Manages storage associated with Epic Cache databases and Windows ancillary applications. Assists systems administrators with storage allocation and planning related to the database.

Communicate and coordinate with other teams (Linux, Oracle, Windows, Network, SAN etc.) related to database, application and environment support and projects.

Stays ahead of current and emerging database trends/technologies.

Carries a department-supplied laptop and responds to pages in a timely manner.

Provides on-call support for the ECSA/ODBA team (24/7 weekly rotation.)

Mentors and supports ECSA/ODBA team members during their on-call rotations when assigned.

Participates and offers expertise in critical-call event management.

Runs the on-call rotation of ECSA/ODBA staff members.

Maintains version control, administration of scripts for file manipulation and programming access to multiple environments.

Responsible for daily build migrations working closely with application and change teams.

Analyze and solve migration issues and mitigate the fixes and resolutions.

Conducts cross-team training and lessons learned sessions.

Creates, maintains and ensures documentation of team processes and procedures, including operating manuals or training materials for internally managed databases and systems.

Experience Requirements:3-5+ years of Epic ODBA/ECSA experience.

Extensive experience with Linux and Windows operating systems and tools.

Experience in latest 2 Epic Cache versions.

Solid understanding of monitoring, tuning, and administration of Cache databases required.

Solid understanding of patient care databases and financial and administrative database applications required.

Extensive experience with AIX, Linux and Windows operating systems and tools.

Scripting experience required (PERL, Powershell, etc.)

Solid skills in prioritize feature work, meeting deadlines, leading several broad-scope projects at one time, and utilizing time effectively for staff and self.

Good interpersonal skills in dealing effectively with diverse skill sets and personalities, provide mentorship, team leadership and work effectively as a great teammate.

Project management skills for cross-team and internal projects.

Education Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in: Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field of study required.

Certification Requirements:Epic ODBA/ ECSA Certification required.

Epic Clarity, Data Courier and/or Chronicles Certification preferred.
