This clinic is a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to work independently. This position's right candidate is a licensed Speech and Language Pathologist with specialized training and experience treating voice problems.As a per diem Speech-Language Pathologist in the Cedars-Sinai Voice Clinic, you will primarily complete evaluations, and provide appropriate treatment interventions per policies. Complete required documentation accurately and thoroughly within expected timeframes. Utilizes validated and standardized outcome measures to establish goals, demonstrate progress, and patient rehabilitation prognosis. Monitors and modifies the progress of patients assigned to assistants. Demonstrates effective communication skills with patients, families, and care team members.Educational Requirements:Graduate of an accredited Speech Pathology Program - Required
Master's Degree- Graduate of an accredited Speech Pathology Program - Required
Doctorate Degree Graduate of an accredited Speech Pathology Program - Preferred
License/Certification Requirements:California Speech Language Pathologist License
Basic Life Support
What else are we looking for?A minimum of 1year experience as a practicing therapist
Experience and knowledge of assessment and intervention techniques in a medical and physical disabilities setting.
Experience performing evaluations, designing, and implementing treatment plans and providing education in a manner appropriate to the age of the patient.
Physical Demands:Able to push, pull, lift or carry 0-35 pounds on an intermittent basis;
Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat consistently in order to safely administer manual exercises and techniques;
Able to assist patient with physical activities such as transfers, bed mobility, and ambulation.
Able to identify need for an arrange assistance to maintain safe techniques.
