Job Description: The role of the Client Data Domain Analyst is to assist the Data Management and Strategy team deploy and operationalize a data domain operating model for enterprise data governance/management. The data domain operating model ensures data ownership/accountability requirements are met for the regulators.

Roles, responsibilities and the project work will be split across the following data domain deployment steps:

1. Data domain scoping
Liaise with data domain stakeholders to:

Elicit/document data domain business drivers and near-term/strategic objectives
Identify/document data domains scope of business processes
Identify/catalog existing business process maps
Analyze process maps to identify each business processes data inputs and outputs
Drive discussions to baseline data domain inter-dependencies for data inputs required and outputs produced by each business processes
Support discussions across the 5 data domains to baseline each data domains:
Business process ownership
Business process dependencies
Scope of data inputs and outputs
Data domain inter-dependencies for in-scope data inputs and outputs
Applications (candidate systems of record and authorized provisioning points) in scope

2. Data prioritization
Liaise with data domain stakeholders to:

Document the criticality of each data domains in-scope business processes
Baseline the scope of data elements (input/output) of each critical business process
Elicit/document the rationale/criteria for data prioritization across data domain specific dimensions (materiality, client impact, etc.)
Govern and control the scope of data elements subject to prioritization based on business priority and regulatory needs
Establish a single definition for all in-scope data elements
Assess data elements against the prioritization criteria to identify candidate Critical Data Elements (CDEs)
Review/challenge data prioritization results to baseline data domains CDEs from candidate CDEs

3. Business metadata and data lineage
Liaise with data domain stakeholders to:

Identify/document business metadata for:
Business processes
CDEs
Data controls
Identify/document the physical instance of CDEs
Identify/catalog physical data dictionaries and data mapping documents/specs
Consult with applicable Data Custodian(s) to identify (or confirm) a Systems of Record and Authorized Provisioning Points
Capture/document data lineage for CDEs in the Enterprise Data Management Platform (Informatica EDC and Axon)

4. Controls
Liaise with data domain stakeholders to:

Extract source system data from operational data warehouse and conduct data analysis of CDEs
Identify need for additional data controls
Assess effectiveness of documented/evidenced data controls
Work closely with IT and business partners to manage, assess and remedy the effectiveness of data controls (front-end and back-end) over the data sourcing of critical data elements (CDEs)
Conduct gap analysis via testing and recommend specific actions to fix gaps in processes and/or process management
Suggest design enhancement for internal controls, such as segregation of duties, production change management, software management, security, incident handling, and data service agreements
Draft new workflows, including impact statements on how sourcing/usage of CDEs may be impacted
Work with owners to collect evidence deliverables on a regularly scheduled basis and maintain the schedule
Maintain complete library of controls documentation in metadata business glossary (Informatica Axon) via a CDE controls dashboard:
Prospecting/Sales support
Client onboarding (KYC/CIP/BSA)
New accounts opening
Client/account servicing (payments processing, inward/outward money movement)
Account maintenance (deposits, investments, credit cards, loans)
Customer Information System maintenance

Qualifications:
5+ years 1st line experience supporting client business processes within banking
3+ years experience in business process analysis
2+ years experience in Data Management centric role (metadata, data lineage, data quality and controls)

Technical Skills:
Working knowledge of SQL
Working knowledge of Informatica suite (EDC, Axon, IDQ, Informatica Cloud Integration Services)
Working knowledge of other data management suites (Collibra, ASG, Allation, etc.)
Expert knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
