Dos Cuervos Café is getting ready to open, and we’re looking for great people to join our team! We currently have two positions available:
Barista / Cashier:
As a Barista/Cashier, you’ll provide excellent customer service, prepare high-quality drinks, and help create a warm, welcoming environment for every guest who walks through our doors.
Prep / Line Cook:
The Prep/Line Cook role is responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and efficiency in the kitchen.
Barista/Cashier Job Description :
-Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and specialty drinks, following DCC's recipes and standards.
-Operate coffee-making equipment, including espresso machines and grinders, while maintaining cleanliness and efficiency.
-Assist in food preparation, including light snacks and pastries.
-Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked workspace, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
-Educate customers on the different beverage options, flavors, and drink preparation methods.
-Maintain knowledge of the menu and suggest products to enhance the customer experience.
-Greet customers warmly, take orders, and accurately input them into the POS system.
-Process payments, including cash, credit, and digital transactions, while providing correct change.
-Handle customer inquiries, provide recommendations, and resolve any issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
-Keep the front counter, register area, and seating area clean and organized.
-Assist with stocking inventory, such as cups, lids, and other supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a barista or cashier preferred
Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems.
A passion for coffee, a positive attitude, and a desire to provide a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
Comfortable with repetitive motions, such as grinding coffee, pressing espresso, and using a register.
Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and willingness to help wherever needed.
Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team to deliver a seamless guest experience.
Food Handler’s Certification (or ability to obtain one)
Availability:
Must be available for mornings, weekends, and occasional holidays

Line Cook Job Description:
Prepare ingredients according to recipes and prep lists (washing, chopping, portioning, etc.)
-Cook and assemble menu items accurately and consistently
-Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
-Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift
-Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs
-Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
-Follow kitchen opening and closing procedures
-Uphold all health and safety regulations
-Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook preferred
Basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
Ability to follow recipes and portion guidelines
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Food Handler’s Certification (or ability to obtain one)
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
Availability:
Must be available for mornings, weekends, and occasional holidays
Friendly, supportive team environment with opportunities for growth
Hourly Rate: $18-$20/hr
