GENERAL MANAGER
Marlena is a neighborhood restaurant with a simple mission: make people happy and feel welcomed through our passion, knowledge, and warm hospitality. Taking great care of our team, our guests, and our community are our top priorities.
Our goal is to provide the highest quality, fresh ingredients, prepared in our Mugnaini wood-burning pizza oven and our Spanish Josper charcoal-fired grill. Our menu offers local California ingredients with heavy inspiration from Sicily through Spain’s Basque country. In working with local farmers, our menu will be hyper seasonal and change often. Pizza Napolitana, charcoal grilled seafood and meats, and farmers market produce will populate our menus. Our team is growing, and we’re looking for smart, upbeat, authentic people to join us.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years management experience in upscale/fine-dining restaurants.
Knowledge of human resources and an understanding that our people are our greatest asset.
Knowledge of facility maintenance.
Experience doing promotional and marketing activities.
Knowledge of boutique spirits, amari, and aperitivi.
Knowledge of boutique wines and craft beer.
Passionate about farm fresh ingredients and seasonal cuisine.
A strong desire to offer an incredible guest experience and genuine hospitality.
Ability to lift 30 pounds or more.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible schedule with availability to work nights and weekends.
