Immediate availability for a full-time (40 hours/week) front office medial assistant at a busy orthopaedic practice. The office will be located in Marina Del Rey from December until approximately March of 2025, at which time the practice will be moving into a brand new, state of the art medical office building in Manhattan Beach. The new office will have an MRI, surgery center and three patient exam rooms. A second orthopaedic surgeon will be joining the practice in January.
Job duties include answering the phone, checking patients in and out and obtaining authorizations for various procedures. Candidates who have a medical assistant degree will have the opportunity to provide back-office services (removing sutures, phlebotomy, applying casts/splints). A background in healthcare is preferred but not required. COVID vaccination is required.
Salary is commensurate with the applicant's experience. Benefits include a health care contribution, a 401-k/defined benefit plan and paid major holidays.
