VCA Veterinary Specialists of the Valley is looking for a full time Lead Overnight Veterinary Technician to join our amazing and dedicated team. We are a 24-hour Level lll Trauma Center, Level ll Certified VECCS facility, and multi specialty practice in Woodland Hills. Our highly compassionate staff deliver an exceptional client experience and excellence in veterinary care. Candidates should possess strong leadership and communication skills. A team-player attitude is a must as this is a fast paced environment that requires everyone to work together in providing the best patient and client care.

Responsibilities in this role include, but will not be limited to:
Excellent communication skills
Shift Supervisor
Point person for communication between doctors and staff on shift
Physical examinations and patient assessment
Venipuncture
Catheter placement
Radiology
Drug calculations
Anesthesia monitoring
Laboratory work
Pharmacy
Patient recovery
Compassionate care for clients and hospitalized patients
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have documented previous experience
Preferably hold a current RVT license
Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays
Customer service skills
Working knowledge of computers
Excellent communications skills
Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist
Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
