Southern California contractor in Corona, CA is looking for General Field Installation Labor with experience in commercial construction. We install glass and metal sidings. Pay ranges from $23.00 to $25.00 per hour depending on experience. Candidates must have their own reliable transportation to jobsites located throughout Southern California in Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura and Inland Counties.
Job Overview:
Candidates will require knowledge in general labor in construction trades. You must have experience in safely operating various types of hand power tools. Duties may vary job-to-job and will involve working on different types of buildings. Primary responsibility will be assisting a Lead Installer/Foreman. Additional on-the-job training will be provided and there is room for growth. The Candidate must follow the company’s safety policies and procedures. Work schedule and hours will vary depending on the jobsite requirements and jobsite location. The standard work schedule will be Monday through Friday. Overtime and some weekend work may be required from time to time on an as needed basis. After-hour work may be required on certain projects based on our clients needs. During gaps between projects, this position may be required to take up additional temporary responsibilities at the fabrication shop (at a shop rate) as business needs arise.
What we're looking for:
EDUCATION: High School Degree or equivalent preferred.
LICENSING: Valid Driver’s License preferred.
EXPERIENCE: 2+ years’ experience working with in general commercial construction.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Candidates must be able to…
-Read a measuring tape. Do simple math associated with measuring.
-Stage tools, materials and equipment to be ready for work. Move material from staging area to work area.
-Safely use tools associated with construction siding installation including but not limited to measuring tapes, laser levels, drills, hammers, grinders, chop saws, screw guns, impact guns and lifting tools.
-Safely work around and use equipment associated with construction and siding installation including but not limited to forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other high reach equipment. Operator training will be provided by certified instructor if required.
-Identifying safety related issues and bringing them up to the Lead Installer. Follow all OSHA safety standards.
-Actively listen and participate in tailgate safety trainings.
-Perform the physical demands of the job including safely operating equipment and properly setting up scaffolding.
-Physical ability to safely lift and maneuver heavy weighted objects including materials, tools and equipment.
-Ability to safely work at heights as well as access heights from ladder, scaffolding, and or mechanical lift. Must be comfortable working around heights.
-Properly wear all safety equipment and PPE. Dress appropriately for construction.
-Ensure the protection of the building, building contents, and company product/property from potential damage and/or theft.
-Maintain project sites and work areas in a neat and orderly fashion while working. Ensure you clean up daily at the end of each workday.
-Work overtime and/or weekends if necessary.
-Show up on-time, ready to work, each day and after breaks.
-Other duties as assigned.
-Work as a team and communicate well with others.

Pay will range from $23.00 to $25.00 an hour based on specific experience. Additional benefits are available including company shared medical plan, dental, vision and 401k along with paid sick time, vacation accrual and company paid holidays.
