Branded clothing line seeks Technical Designer with minimum 5+ years experience in contemporary fashion to accomplish technical packages from start of development to pre-production stages. Candidate will be working directly with buyers.
Must have in depth knowledge of garment construction, patterns and fit.
Position requires ability to create tech-packs from scratch, spec writing, sketching (hand and illustrator).
Complete knowledge of overseas and domestic manufacturing.
Excellent communication skills including written and verbal communication with overseas vendors. Communication is also necessary in creating first prototype samples all the way to salesman samples.
Good understanding of production/action calendar and timing is critical.
Computer Proficiency: Photoshop & Illustrator.
Must be an expert in approval of colors, measuring, and spec writing.
Organized, detail oriented individual, and a self starter wanted!

We are looking for a long term commitment to service high end boutiques, big box retailers, and private labels.
Sweater/Knits experience is a plus.
