Busy high-end residential interior design firm is seeking a Designer Assistant to join our team.
Requirements:
Degree in Interior Design from an accredited program or equivalent work experience.
Must have minimum one-year experience as a Design Assistant in an interior design firm.
Must be proficient in AutoCAD skills and experience with CAD in an interior design environment. Familiarity with Studio Designer is a plus.
Qualifications include:
Drafting/CAD for interior plans and elevations
Knowledge of stores and showrooms
Attention to detail and extremely organized
Great attitude and proactive work style
Ability to work on multiple projects and juggle multiple priorities.
Ability to create/maintain schedules, timelines and status reports
You will assist the designers with all aspects of a project from concept through completion, including creating and maintaining client binder, schedules, sourcing fabric, furniture and accessories, obtaining vendor quotes, following up with vendors, and maintaining office library.
You should:
- have the ability to work efficiently and independently, as well as part of a team.
- be highly detail oriented and organized, you should have excellent time management skills.
- have excellent problem solving skills, and outstanding communications skills.
- have a valid drivers license and passport
