Job Title: Security Engineer

Mainly onsite only but sometime can be remote – Los Angeles ,CA

Duration : 2 years Longterm Contract

Experience:
  • Windows and Linux operating systems and associated security concepts.
  • Expertise across a variety of security products including, but not limited to, firewalls, threat analysis, network ahost-based intrusion detection (IDS) and intrusion prevention systems (IPS), security incident and event management software (SIEM), URL filtering, SPAM filtering, content filtering, anti-filtering, anti-malware software, anti-virus software, and file encryption, behavioral analytics, authentication, network discovery and mapping, orchestration, intrusion detection/prevention, file integrity monitor, policy based endpoint protection and vulnerability management, forensic and other cybersecurity tools, technologies, and methods.
  • Incident Response, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity and Breach Management.
  • Theories, principles, and practices of information systems engineering, secure software development, network security, and/or security operations.
  • Security standards, frameworks, best practices, and privacy acts e.g., Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Standard, IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework, California Consumer Privacy Act(CCPA), and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
  • Review and create procedures, security requirements.
  • Industry frameworks related to information security, such as ISO 27000, NIST 800-53, ITIL Foundation, NIST Cyber security, etc.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory compliance requirement, such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of information security risks and counter-measures for Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Project management techniques and coordination.
  • Security hardware and software applications related to information system security.
  • Public Transportation or Transit Industries, preferred.

    • Qualification:

  • Certifications (Required): CISSP, PMP, PCNSE, CCSE, CCNP

    • Certifications (Preferred): CISA, CISM, Microsoft Certification Azure Solutions Architect expert, SANS GIAC.
