Successful Indie Writer/Director/Actor/Composer seeking experienced Executive Producer (Los Angeles)
I'm an award-winning indie filmmaker with a recent hit film looking to collaborate with an experienced producer/executive producer on a low-budget feature film, a stand-alone sequel based on my previous fantasy drama hit about a gay love story that takes place in the world of ballet (Budget - $1.7M, 23-day shoot).
Logline: A piano accompanist, who can heal people with his magic music, and his male lover, a ballet dancer, confront recurring karmic patterns from the past when they move back to Los Angeles to work at a ballet studio.
Marketability: Fantasy dramas and gay love stories hold a special appeal for a niche audience hungry for compelling dramatic stories that reflect the diversity of society today. Looking back on some recent classic films such as Call Me By Your Name, Brokeback Mountain, The Green Mile, Black Swan, and others in this genre, this stand-alone sequel is poised to be a critical and commercial box office success.
What I’m Looking for: I need an experienced pro to handle all production aspects of this project from pre-production to production to post production and marketing as well as helping to raise the financing. The ideal producer/executive producer would be ambitious, passionate and doesn't mind getting into the trenches and doing the hard work to make this happen. I will be with you every step of the way, and have a terrific screenplay, detailed budget and shooting schedule available for perusal, an award-winning crew attached and potential star power and star-making cast.
