A high-end custom design and architectural millwork shop based in Gardena, CA seeking a Shop Helper / Assistant and Delivery Driver.
Candidates must have woodworking shop experience.

Shop Helper / Assistant Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Shop Maintenance & Cleanliness
Perform daily and as-needed shop cleanup of interior and exterior of all four (4) shop units, including sweeping, trash removal and general tidiness
Maintain a clean and organized tool crib - inform ManagemenT if anything is missing, broken, or needing to be replaced
Ensure clamps and other equipment are properly marked - inform Management if anything is missing, broken, or needing to be replaced
Keep track of Tool Lending Log
Daily cleaning and maintenance of dust collector and air compressor systems
Clear out carts and keep free of trash, cutoffs, unused items and unneeded parts
Keep the following clean and organized: plywood racks, lumber and panel cutoffs, everyday supply cabinet, tool crib, edgebanding, tooling cabinets, chop-saw tables and lofts
Assist with shop improvement projects as directed
Weekly cleaning and maintenance of machines, routers and saws
Check shop bathrooms and refill toilet paper, soap, etc. as needed
2. Material Preparation & Inventory
Fabricate and maintain inventory of shop filler rack(s)
Fabricate shop aids such as shims and L-blocks for toe-kicks, etc.
Organize and maintain hardware and stock inventory
Assist and maintain inventory logs of lumber, sheetgoods, hardware and everyday suppliesTeam Support
Loading, unloading, and job site deliveries
Lift and carry materials and equipment
Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to ensure smooth workflow and efficiency within the Production Team and overall shop operations
Assist with shop production tasks delegated by Shop Management
Delivery Driver Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with various delivery, installation and clean up tasks on jobsite(s) as needed
Handle, load, unload, and transport millwork to job-sites in Los Angeles and surrounding areas
Carefully wrap and label components
Must have a good driving record
Must have excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate deliveries and navigate jobsite conditions
Confirm all drop-off’s and pick-up’s by text message to Project Management
Participate in scheduling and route planning as needed - there may be a need to make stops and deliveries along the route
